Aren’t the designers ready yet?

While NYC fashion week is going on.. I was hoping for some shows showing inbetweenies on the runway, because IMG sent the 5 gorgeous inbetweenies to designers casting for New York Fashion Week. IMG Models has announced that it will promote its roster of curvier women in the same show package as their top girls for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Combining ‘plus size’ and ‘straight size’ boards at model agencies is revolutionary in an industry thats operated in much the same way for decades. IMG, which reps supermodels including Gisele Bündchen, Kate Upton, Chanel Iman and Karlie Kloss, announced last week it had signed plus size stunners Julie Henderson, Ashley Graham, Danielle Redman, Inga Eiriksdottir and Marquita Pring, were promoted to casting agents and designers for Fashion Week shows.
Probably the designers are still not ready for the inbetweenies, or the average size women on the runway in their collection? Maybe next season? Let’s keep hoping and believing!

Julie Henderson

Ashley Graham

Danielle Redman

Inga Eiriksdottir

Marquita Pring

Ready? I think they’re being cheap and lazy. Size 0 models= less material and less effort in fitting dresses to compliment bodies.

      You’re right,,
but people started to realize that size zero is not normal anymore, we need to see real human being on the runways (with all respect for all the models)..
but they must stop making normal people feeling ugly !
