Scorpio Anna Wintour

Congrats Scorpio Anna, with your 62nd birthday! Both of us are the star sign Scorpio! That’s probably the only thing we have in common! Haha! And yes!!!! You CAN smile… Enjoy your birthday!

The cover model didn’t fit the Lacroix skirt.

Anna Wintours first ever Vogue cover from November 1988. The model, Michaela, was wearing a haute couture Christian Lacroix jacket with Guess jeans. She was wearing these jeans, because the skirt (part of the Lacroix suit) didn’t fit the model. She had been on vacation in Israel and had gained a little weight.
“People applied all sorts of interpretations: It was about mixing high and low, Michaela was pregnant, it was a religious statement. But none of these things were true. I had just looked at that picture and sensed the wind of change. And you can’t ask for more from a cover image than that.” Was Anna happy using a model that didn’t fit the sample sizes? Now, with Wintour having only recently launched Vogue’s ‘Health Initiative’, we hope only healthy sizes will be in Vogue.

Federer makes Anna Wintour smile…

You never see the Ice Queen Anna Wintour smile in public. But during the final of Wimbledon: Anna was smiling and laughing. Anna’s a big Federer fan, she must have been very very happy he won Wimbledon for the 7th time. Well done Roger! For making Anna smile… Was this match better than any runway? LOL

Some reactions to Vogue‘s new healthy model initiatives

Vogue’s decision to ban images of women who ‘appear to have an eating disorder’ is a move that should be celebrated, writes Tyra Banks in article on The Daily Beast. “If I was just starting to model at 17 in 2012, I could not have had the career that I did. I would’ve been considered too heavy.”

Janice Dickinson about Vogue‘s new healthy model initiatives:

Anna Wintour: “you either know fashion….”

Anna Wintour: ‘Create your own style…..’

Rumour had it right….

Now confirmed the rumour…. Yes!!!! More adele news!!! Adele on cover of Vogue’s USA March 2012. Photographed by Mert & Marcus. And not only a face is shown on the picture! Fat-phobic Anna Wintour, my compliments to show this great talented and gorgeous looking singer on this cover! And if it’s possible to dress her in beautiful designer clothes, it should be possible for plus size models… some day.

Fashion Simpsons

Illustrator Alexsandro Palombo: Diane Pernet, Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour and Grace-Coddington into Simpsons looks! This man is soooo much FUN!

“Miss Anna don’t like fat people”

Is Anna Wintour waking up?

After Cosmopolitan, British Vogue and The Gentlewoman — Adele may be on the cover of American Vogue. Adele is not a sample size, wearing a U.K. size 16. Anna Wintour is shopping for ‘a series of cover-worthy outfits for the size 16 chart-topper to wear on the shoot’ according to WWD. In 2007, Jennifer Hudson, unfortunately a size 8 now, graced the cover of the magazine. Anna will probably have some great designers make clothes specially for her. So if it’s possible for a size 16 singer, it should be possible for plus size models and inbetweenies! So Anna, isn’t it time for more diversity in Vogue? If you show the world it’s possible, all other magazine will follow the ‘Queen of Fashion’. Can’t wait…!

Oh, Adele… don’t lose too much weight… let the stylists sweat to find great garments in your size 16!!!
