Inbetweenie in shapewear!

A story I did for Dutch magazine Libelle. Shapewear story with gorgeous inbetweenie model Marlous from Milk Management. Shapewear is very important to wear. Specially under a tight dress or tight clothes. It can make you look like you lost up to 4 kilos! Photography by Hans Zeegers and hair/make up Nikkie de Vries with Angelique Hoorn

Statement: ‘men don’t like size zero’

In the new Dutch magazine Louder an article about the statement: ‘de maat is vol’, this means: ‘it’s getting time to stop talking about sizes’. Fashion shows the world women should be size zero’s. But most of the men don’t want these zero’s. They want real sizes! They love curves! On the cover of the article Dutch inbetweenie model Marlous, Milk Management. A few men and stylist Dyanne Beekman their opinions about this statement.
A great quote: ‘men don’t like size zero models, women do’.

6.8 % wants size zero
7.8 % how curvier, how better
40.3% curvy on the perfect body parts
45.1% love real women bodies

We should stop talking about plus size!

Proud of Mayra de Wilde, plus size model with Ego’s Models and journalist. In Dutch Glamour magazine an article from her about her 10 years of being a plus size model. A lot of pictures of her and other Dutch plus size models. Which actually are inbetweenies! Danielle, Ego’s Models and Muse NYC, Peeky, Euro Model and Marlous, Milk Management
Mayra tells about the changes from 10 years ago till now. Is it a hype, a lot ‘plus size’ models are getting famous? No, I think finally this new generation of these strong inbetweenie women and models have a voice and social media can let the world hear their voices! New generation, new needs!

I completely agree with Mayra: we should stop talking about plus size! Everything who isn’t size zero, is called plus size. Many times the term: healthy is the new skinny is mentioned in this article. And there we’ve got a point! The fashion industry should show healthy women in different sizes. Time for diversity!
