All shops are filled with festival style clothes. It’s amazing how big an influence festivals are during summer, Read more…
Last Friday I styled a great swimwear photoshoot for a Dutch magazine. And this time with an inbetweenie model! Gorgeous Jana (size 42 EU/12 US). Love to have Read more…
And there is Cosmopolitan Australia again! Featuring an editorial with a ‘normal sized’ model, Robyn Lawley. Love the clothes and the pictures. Seeing this model in an editorial like this, you would ever tell she’s a size 42 EU/ 12 US. No, that’s exactly what I LOVE having this size of models next to other sizes in magazines. Cool style and clothes; you can see women on the street wearing the same stuff! Keep up the good work Cosmo Australia!
This week there was a rumour about Mango, saying that Mango will come with a plus size collection. Hmmm… sounds very interesting. Because if they do come with a plus size division Zara must follow? But… a rumour is a rumour… and I am not sure if this is real. We should wait till it will be confirmed.
While we are waiting we can at least buy some accessories at Mango. We are already lucky with some oversized items in their collection. I will definitely support the idea about starting a plus size division, but wouldn’t it be much better by extending the regular collection to size 48?
On the website degroenemeisjes.nl (=the green girls) an article about plussize vegetarians. Merel wrote this article. She’s an inbetweenie herself. She did a request on twitter and asked for plussize vegetarians and their experiences. “You eat vegetarian or vegan, you are healthy and feel good in your own skin, but you are and stay a plus size lady.” Some reactions of people towards people who are vegetarian. “But what do you eat? I aswered: I only eat carrots”. Waaahhh!
I have been a vegetarian myself for 14 years now. I always have to say why I am a vegetarian. A lot of people who don’t know me, don’t expect me to be a vegetarian. Probably because of my size? Haha, not all veggies are skinny. Conclusion: Veggies are in all types and sizes. So also in larger sizes!
I just love the curvy and sexy Jessica Rabbit, eating a carrot… illustrated by Lorenzo Sabia.
Some pictures of Robyn Lawley for HM+. Last time Tara Lynn was the face of this collection. I am very surprised Robyn is doing it now. Because Robyn is a size 40-42 and Tara is a size 44-46. The pictures look great. But I must say that the collection is again very very casual and simple. Not really fashionable. I just don’t get it! Doesn’t fashion for plus size women sell? Or does HM not believe in it? I am also complaining about their sizes. Their size 50 is a size 46.

Just love this outfit of colleague blogger Gabi Fresh! The blazer and skirt are sooooo cool! It’s great to see more and more nice prints in plus size labels. And yes: this is fashion and trendy! The jacket and skirt are from the plus size collection of Forever21. I think it’s really about time to see more and more real cool stuff for us big girls! We don’t want to look casual or sporty! No way! We want fashion. Great job, Gabi! You look great.
