MANGO goes plus in 2014

Confirmed… that Mango is coming with a plus collection. I already wrote about this… but in February it was still a rumor. From 2014 we can expect this Read more…

Fashionable trainers

Last year the big trend was the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. Never bought these, never liked these. This year we see a complete different street style/ bloggers style TREND. The oldschool sneaker is back! New Balance is completely hot.  I must say: I am only-wearing-a-sneaker-to-the-gym-girl. But I really like these trainers! Hmmm… but which one it’s gonna be? Maybe you will see the one back in my LOOKS!

1. Asos € 49,95
2. Zara € 49,95
3. Nike Air Max € 136,34
4. New Balance € 79,95
5. Zara € 89,95
6. New Balance € 89,95

Yes! Girls just wanna have fun!

Below you’ll find an editorial shot for the latest issue of Plus Model Magazine. Finally, a fashion story! There hasn’t been one this year yet. Modern, rough and fashionable. The photography is by Matthew Lopez and the model is Emily Nicholz (size 42/44 EU 12/14 US), from Dorothy Combs Models. There’s one thing I think is funny: The model is wearing a jumpsuit by Zara in the 1st spread. Zara in a spread in a plus model magazine?

Zara only goes up to a size 42 EU/12 US. And most of the time in Zara, a size 42 fits like a size 40 EU/10 US. Wish there was a cool jumpsuit for women larger than a size 42. But that’s the only point of criticism I I was able to tell you about. This is an editorial that could have been in any regular magazine: looks just cool. And the model is an average size woman!

Mango Accessories…

This week there was a rumour about Mango, saying that Mango will come with a plus size collection. Hmmm… sounds very interesting. Because if they do come with a plus size division Zara must follow? But… a rumour is a rumour… and I am not sure if this is real. We should wait till it will be confirmed.

While we are waiting we can at least buy some accessories at Mango. We are already lucky with some oversized items in their collection. I will definitely support the idea about starting a plus size division, but wouldn’t it be much better by extending the regular collection to size 48?
